Four expelled for sex attack on school girl, 12

School children in Mijas have guaranteed access to the same books through special scheme

THE four youths accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl at Las Norias School in El Ejido have been expelled and issued with six month restraining orders. The girl’s mother, Agustina Corral,  claims her daughter and another two girls were surrounded by ten boys, aged 14 and 15, who abused her while the security cameras were stopped, which is why recordings only show her running away.

The other two girls got away, while she says she was held by the boys, who touched her inappropriately. After she reported the events, teachers at the school asked her to identify the youths, but she was only able to identify four of them.

Corral says two of the four have “only been living in Spain for a short time and do not speak Spanish.”

The four teenagers were asked to leave the centre and return the next day with their parents who were sent a letter was sent to them informing them of the events.

The girl attended school the following day but the mother took her to report the alleged assault at the Guardia Civil.

The teenagers, all minors, were arrested and have now been expelled from the school. All the accused gave denied the accusations against them.

Meanwhile,  Provincial Education Delegation will place them at another school.

The headmaster at the school, Francisco Montoya, has said that he respects the family’s right to report the events, but stressed this is a one-off extraordinary incident.

He dismissed Corral’s claims that there have been previous similar unreported assaults at the school.
