GRACIELA MICHELLON, who has been selling crafts the Esplanade in Alicante for 32 years, received a letter on Friday from the town hall notifying her she has eight days to withdraw her stand. If she does not remove it then she faces a €700 fine, despite allegedly meeting all the requirements for being there.

“I have asked Mayor Sonia Castedo and the town hall to find a solution and not make me leave my job after all these years,” said Michellon who is the sole bread winner for her family.
