A Malaga Local Police officer used the recent Film Festival to complain about the situation he finds himself in due to his love of film. Dressed in stripes like a Hollywood prisoner, he explained that he has been suspended without pay for seven months for making short films which the force says is incompatible with his job because he earns money from them, although he makes them in his spare time.
He has collaborated with the Equality Department of Malaga City Hall, and says that in two years, he has never hidden the fact that he makes films.
He feels that it is ironic that the City Hall should promote the film festival but not allow him as a local to produce his own.
