A Group of Friends of the Museo Pedro Gilabert in Arboleas has recently been formed to provide an opportunity for the public, of all nationalities, to support and encourage the work of the Museum. The museum reflects the wide diversity of arts and culture, in all its forms, and promotes local and regional traditions and heritage.
The Group of Friends will be hoping to develop a range of activities which continue this work.
Apart from the excellent permanent exhibition of work by its founder, Pedro Gilabert, a local sculptor, there are two spacious rooms where a variety of regularly changing exhibitions have been held in past years – showing the work of many local artists and craftsmen, including paintings, sculpture, photography, local history and handicrafts, as well as exhibitions from other artists with national and international reputations.
If you would like further information, you can visit the Museum, which is situated opposite the Azabache hotel/bar, at the far end of the road to the side of the Town Hall. Or you can e-mail [email protected] or telephone Anne 679911261.
