THE company providing electricity to the Serrania de Ronda area has threatened to cut off electricity in Igualeja and Atajate if they don’t pay their bills. Igualeja Town Hall owes some €407,000 for a debt which has accumulated over 15 years, and Atajate, the smallest town in Malaga with 186 inhabitants, owes €91,368.

Managers at the company claim that their phone calls and letters go without answer.

Several towns in the Cuenca del Guadiaro and Valle del Genal areas owe money to the same company, accumulating a total debt of €1m.
